The only time it affects me in any way is if I play it way too much in one day. And that's my eyes getting tired from looking at the screen. Absolutely not saying anyone who is suffering is doing that, by the way. Just saying that it doesn't normally affect me. For example I've not been so well lately and on Wednesday morning I was dizzy enough that I was struggling to walk around my room. But I can sit and play the Sims and it is not aggravating anything. (I should add my being ill has nothing to do with this, today is the first time I have played sims in over 3 weeks).
So overly tired eye type headaches, yes...if I play for several hours together. But not generally. I don't swivel my lots often, though, so if that is a factor maybe that's one thing not bothering me. And I often have the TV on at the same time as playing so I am not staring just at this screen.
I think that most games have the potential to cause problems because of the complexity of the graphics involved...I am unsure what the developers could do to improve it or fix it but I would support them doing so to help the people who are suffering because of it.
