Can we get burglars and cops now?

Same and police. I'd even love to see a new NPC that hasn't been in the series before.

I was talking with someone about this on twitter the other day and we were both wondering that too. They do need to come back!

They're comparable to a series regular in a TV show.
Not always there, but a necessity for the game.

I loved burglars, mostly because they added something unexpected. I would always forget my alarm, realised it too late and was like "oh dangit". So you have to re-buy items which adds a bit of story if your sims are poor. Cops showing up when parties would get out of hand. Little things that made the game more exciting!

This ^ I would always forget the alarm too! And the fire alarm.

I hope burglars and firefighters do make a return. I highly doubt that fire fighters would come back... Since sims can actually extinguish themselves, the objects that are set on fire and others... Unless they actually remove that feature and make the fire extinguisher usable itself from the buy items. As for cops... we already have them... but it's a shame that they do not interact outside with the world.

It is like what others said before, burglars are the unexpected, it always given me a chill down my spine when I heard their theme and searching everywhere to find them. They could also introduce some pickpockets if they wanted to as well but some of the lots in sims 4 are kind of small for that ideal... especially in a closed world at that.

I remember just having burglar alarms on corner walls in every lot in Sims 1. Made the worlds look ugly and couldn't skip the useless animations. I don't miss it in the slightest.

Sims 3 was so funny with the burglar. When I used to play Sims 3 my household got the burglar alarm & fought the burglar 3 times until the police showed up. It was so silly & fun to play it.
