First I could never remember all of their names but now I have gotten better I kind of like them, call me a glutton for punishment but some of my favorite families were lost to bugs or I hung on to and I can't say it was ever a good thing lol. Anyways this is "Granny Franny" our first mother in law. She was meant to be concerned that the other one was trying to make the day about her and promised to buy the cake that her daughter in law Jimena "Jimmi" wanted. She didn't have to know it was actually homemade, I wanted to see the animation, cute.

Slow dancing worked for me with adults too, for them I turned free will off but he had no problem chilling with his daughter for a good bit.

Bachelor and Bachelorette parties worked fine no matter how sad they may be I liked hers but I was less prepared for her man's..oh well lol.

As long as they were in the same room they respond to toasts, I mean more people walked over for it so maybe they are drawn to it.

Now I'm not entirely sure I did this right so I can't say it's completely bugged but maybe, I couldn't get my kid to be a flower girl, but thinking back I didn't try clicking on him, they could use the aisle the ones I tested, I didn't have to call them with the option but they stayed seated when I picked seats for them so that pretty much works.

Here they were supposed to exchange vows and kiss with the officiant but it didn't work, they didn't do anything for a bit then seemed to reset.

It was sort of funny watching them bang their heads into one another for being frustrating....it was hilarious and I hope they do it again, the klutz there actually tripped before she got to the aisle as she's clumsy which was still funny it just didn't bother me.

So for her bouquet, I tried setting it up several times clicking in her inventory and her hand the guests gathered but it was like it kept resetting and adding itself to her mother's queue so it didn't do anything else, didn't seem bubbles were working. I was able to click on Carmelo and get a passing kiss so that was great....cause they knocked against each other again. I moved them to another room tried again, no, couldn't get a speech at least the option for it wasn't showing up but then I didn't check on all the sims only the little would be ring bearer had celebration activities so maybe I missed something here too but no also even though the cake was saved couldn't find it in the usual places.

Next the reception, couldn't find the cake...maybe missed it but just put down a kitchen so Franny could make another one and look at that the sims aren't sharing invisible food anymore....oh I forgot I saw someone mention take the topper off before cutting which you usually have to do. I just forgot so no bug there I just thought there was. Also here was where I was thinking it was user error with the cake, I edited the reception after the fact and hadn't gone back to the wedding option to add a cake so that may have been working :* this is how we learn. Lol.

Not sure if intended but the cake refilled itself a couple times, I think it's to make sure all the guests get cake which would be neat cause I usually had to bake multiple cakes for families. It's adorable.

now I remember seeing a photo of that working but I still wonder if some of the options weren't supposed to be available at the ceremony and it's more a bug they are selections, or not a bug is a bug who cares.

Thought I'd try the bouquet again it got a little finicky but I noticed she was trying to pick a random sim to throw to and when that sim would leave they would move and another picture would appear in her queue finally the throw to option showed up so maybe it was trying to work.

That was darling, she noticed how moody her sister has been, the flower girl...Aaron had been clingy but Lissy's mood swing was set on keeping her away from her family making her even more impossible. I thought she would want to cheer her up, mama Blanche even got less mean mug after that. She was frowning so hard seeing that her daughter had dared to have a cake she didn't pick.

Mmkay I'll try again later...but mostly just wanted to say I'm still satisfied because even if it's not obvious if x is off somewhere else and works just by moving I don't see a game breaker I didn't have any other lag or any crashing in anything and I was using plenty of cheats and going in and out of bnb and cas.

Heavy pic threads are more fun if you put the pics in spoilers. That way people on slow connections can load them one at a time and actually see them, rather than multiple pics not loading, or loading out of order and spoiling the storytelling.

I'll leave this tab open and hopefully they'll load eventually.

ETA: Ok, it loaded. Good to know the bouquet toss can be random and that cake cutting is fine if the topper is removed (this is likely to prevent the levitating topper).

I think that the Toast is always a Reception thing. Same as the slow dance and the cutting and serving of the cake. How fantastic that the cake replenishes itself. That's way cool. Especially since a cake of that size would be more than adequate for a large group. The other tiered cakes in the game are like mini-tiered cakes (yes I had a mini tiered cake set of pans, too cute for words). I am hoping that what some people are finding as bugs, are just the fact they are trying to have certain interactions in the wrong place, if you will. Bubbles, if memory serves, was a way to replace the throwing of rice, since if a bird eats rice it becomes Fowl play, as in it kills them. Rice bloats up. Bubbles would definitely be a reception interaction, too.

@GalacticGal yeah it really seems like maybe some of it is supposed to be time and place. Someone said something worked for them without reception but it is common for not everyone to have the same bug. After the wedding everything else is working fine but haven't tested again to double check.

For the rice at least no birds collected it also disappears and I love those cakes.
