Can You Become A Singer/Record Songs In Get Famous
I just got Get Famous but I haven’t played yet because my laptop is broken. I know you can mix music but can you record and perform songs to gain fame?

There are two mods that I have tried out, if you're not opposed to using them. The first one I learned about is Sacrificial's Road to Fame_Professional Singing Career, that he made to augment GF. Then after using it for quite a few weeks, I was told of another mod Concert Job Event, which basically allows you to schedule a concert for your Sim. This mod is rather tame, compared to RTF and although I really prefer being able to book the Event myself, (RTF bookings come at random hours and you only have 6 Sim hours to use it) I have been able to use the two mods together. In RTF the fans and the Paparazzi create chaos, but I ended up playing with just the Concert Job Event mod and missed the chaos. Weird, I know. Also, since other aspects of his previous RTF versions are in this one, your upcoming star has a chance to been on Magazine covers, too.
I have to say that I played this family a lot, getting my would-be singing star ready. (I was going to try to make a singer out of him on my own using only the MCCC mod to 'pay' him. I got him up to a teen (had him born in game). He's a musical genius. His voice at level 10 as is his charisma. Suffice it to say he's got a lot going for him. I deleted the previous RTF mod I had when it was announced we were getting GF, thinking I wouldn't need it. Then learned, after my teen was working his way toward his second star, that there was this latest RTF option. Suffice it to say he's doing very well. He earns 10,000 Simoleons per concert, and he's done so many magazine shoots, he's at the top of the modeling career, which now means he also earns 10,000 Simoleons per session. Royalties are at 200 per song, and he has recorded 51.

If you're really wanting a singer Sim I would recommend using both of these mods. It really adds spice to the game. I am also currently blogging about my Star. It started out merely as a thread to share what happened in my game. Then more stuff happened and I slowly turned it into an on-going story.
