It doesn't matter to me who does the builds. If I use the house, I gut it. I like to build, but I have a terrible time with roofs. Yes, I know there are tutorials, but I don't want to spend the time watching them. So I tend to keep the shell and redo the interior. They usually have too much clutter for my taste, regardless of the builder. There are houses that I have only looked at once and then completely ignored. I may not have liked them, but I haven't had time or inclination to update them.
It does seem, however, that some gamechangers are more equal than others. But my opinion is that since the whole program is a marketing tool, why wouldn't you use it to market to the largest audience possible.
