I always have clubs meet at my sims house because I get too impatient with loading screens etc. I usually make my own club and don't put a meeting place in or anything in the usual location bit (although I could probably put it as my house), and then when I want them to meet, I just click on the 'Start Gathering' button and then the group begins at my sims house :smile:
I'm not sure about the coffee though, I've never tried that.
