Canoe only for 1?

They won't redo the boats we have now so if we're to get 2 sims in a boat we need a gondela and or a rowboat. They never redid those boats in Brendleton Bay that teleported sims to the various islands. The thing is I don't think they can update the boats that came with Island Living so that two sims can use them. I'd love for them to prove me wrong though.
