Can't Actually Live in Del Sol?

I have a young couple who just after they got engaged did some house hunting. They found a delightful one bed; one bath house in Del Sol. They just got married in my game today, so I split the families and took the couple and placed them, or tried to anyway, into said house. I was able to go into build/buy mode to change out (upgrade) the appliances, since in my story, his parents bought the house for them as a wedding present. Yes, his parents are outrageously rich, but the Patriarch has worked hard to make his inheritance grow. He's not an idle Sim.

However, my couple are still standing in the cul-de-sac in their wedding clothes unable to actually enter their house. I was able to have them walk up to the door and nothing. I can't even tab down (I suspect that's because it's a one-story bungalow), but even trying to change the view isn't working. I usually play with a cutaway wall, but was willing to put the walls down all the way, just so I could get them inside the house. No dice. Nada.

Is anyone else having this problem? Or should I just do a 'repair' on my game? Please, and thank you, in advance.
