I enjoyed the Scientist career when I was doing Pinstar's Legacy Challenge. After my third generation heir got abducted on his Wedding Day, just prior to the service beginning, he managed to come back right away when his bride clicked the wedding arch. I was afraid I'd just ruined my chances. And of course, wanting to move the legacy along, his wife conceived on their wedding night. It was just a few Sim days later where his physique changed. I was blogging about this challenge at the time and I put off his weight gain as empathy with his pregnant wife, but he was preggars, too. With twins. So, she gave birth earlier on the third day and he finally gave birth to the twins several hours later. So, they were considered 'triplets' although, not really. Being lavender in color, the only boy in that mix grew very curious about abductions. So, it was only logical that he follow his curiosity to the logical conclusion. He joined the Science career trying to sort out what had happened and how long the lavender skin tone might remain in the family genome.
As for playing active careers, I'd have to say I had a great time playing the Detective.
