Can't get rid of traits and skills for gallery sim.

I played the same sim for quite awhile, had 17 traits on her and nearly 11 maxed skills. I wanted to start a new game for a legacy with the same sim (since her romantic relationship seemed to be glitched), so I saved her to the gallery and then used her to create a new sim in CAS. Unfortunately I soon realized that she's basically the same sim despite recreating her, and ended up having the same skills, traits and career.

I attempted to create a twin of her, but she doesn't seem to have exactly the same facial structure. :( Is there a way to reset her so that she'll start out as a fresh, new sim?

    make a twin in cas and use that instead
