Can't Host a Wedding in a Generic Venue?

So I've built a really cute chapel for my Sims to get married in and equipped it with everything that they will need to earn a gold star reward for the wedding. The only problem is that when I try and host the wedding it won't let me select it as a lot from which to host it. I have the lot set to 'generic.' Am I doing something wrong here?
