Can*t sell woodwork items she crafted

I just discovered that my off-the-grid sim had numerous wood crafted items in the household inventory! Perfect, I thought, because then she can make some money from selling them at the local market. When pointing at them they all said "created by" her name, but when I tried to move them to her inventory, there is a message saying it can't be done because she "doesn't own this item". Hm, if she created them, who else owns them? I imagine she crafted them on a woodwork bench on a community lot. Is it not possible to sell stuff you create away from home?
