can't survey ocean wildlife because I'm a mermaid?

Its not working for me at all and my sim is just a human female. She was punished by having her money cut for not completing the task despite doing the task 3 times and sending in data. It's not a mod that is needed its a fix I think.

I regret having my mermaid join the conservation career. I just send her to work every day now since she can't do the tasks. :(

I had the same problem, also the snorkel one did not activate. I knew from a previous game that it does not work for mermaids, so this time I kept my starter sim a human and it still did not work, she also got the message her boss is unhappy and she made 0 simoleons, but I just could not complete snorkel and survey on that day.

I've found a solution to this! If you do the social interaction "Spread Conservation Awareness" it counts as doing the survey ocean wildlife daily task!!! :) :)

@LaziMinx, if you have the UI Cheats mod you can just click on that task & it will complete. Had to do this yesterday because of a self-inflicted problem.

I checked you cant use this on daily tasks

I was able to do it while on the canoe/boat. I got on it, then clicked the buoy to survey ocean. It took a bit but i got it. It also solved my diving for treasure (in odd jobs) dilemma. Hope it works for you and others.I almost gave up his job an redid him.
