Carpets

Does anyone else wish we had more variety in the carpet floor patterns? I'm sure Sims 2 had many more options, and Sims 3, of course, enabled us to customise the patterns. I've got a couple of CC recolour patterns with a variety of colours but it still doesn't feel like a lot. I miss the variety of previous games.

Yes, this is something that I've noticed with Sims 4. There are so many other floor coverings to choose from but the carpet category is definitely lacking.

Same. It's like the toilet roll decoration. I know it's not imperative, but I can't stand when it isn't present in my sim's houses.

In my current save they started out with wooden floors but I'm starting to make them more comfortable for the sims, which means carpeted floors in most rooms. I know the sims can't tell the difference, but, having grown up with carpet, I certainly can!

I'm with you on this, it would certainly be nice. All in due time, I hope. As it stands now most of my houses have wood floors.
