Casanova Kit Has Items With Gameplay?

So I just bought the Casanova kit because I feel like this game needs some seriously more masculine vibes. Sims are Male too lol. Normally I thought besides the busy the dust kit, kits just had items that were non functional, but there is a card table where sims can play 3 card games and there’s a functional mini fridge and a giant screen that sims can watch television on. Are there other kits that have functional items? I always hear they don’t? But I know bust the dust has gameplay but I thought besides that one, there wasn’t any that do? But this one does have functional objects.

The whole point of kits is that there is no new gameplay. Card tables, bars, televisions, are all in the base game, they're just a reskinned version. Bust the dust is a GAMEPLAY kit, it comes with ONLY gameplay, no bb or cas

I remember when the little campers kit was released, there was a discussion about this topic. I agree that a gameplay kit is something different than a kit with functional objects. But the dust is the only one that offered real gameplay (dust system, aspirations, dust bunny) However I really enjoy having more variation in looks for some of the objects. For example the new woodworking table is great even if I realise in the end it is just a reskin.

The interesting kits are the ones that offer access to gameplay items that are only in other DLC, not in the base game. So a person who doesn't have the more expensive DLC can gain access to something that they didn't have before, even if EA didn't develop anything new.

    • swing (little campers)
    • Fire pit (little campers, reviera retreat)
    • Don't wake the llama/yeti (little campers)
    • Changing table (storybook nursery)
    • Infant playmat (story book nursery)
    • Vanity table (modern lux, secret sanctuary)
    • Dance floor (party essentials)
    • A few weeks ago even drink trays would have been on this list

atreya33... That's a great point about some of the kit gameplay items not being in base game. Buying the smaller kits is a nice option for players who don't own the packs that offered those items originally.

  • I like the Casanova Cave Kit, however the new TV doesn't work properly.  When I tested it out it appeared like my sim was able to watch her new TV except that the TV Shows/Movies didn't appear.  I then got her to do a full upgrade on it & tested it again, it still didn't work.   I don't know if it's supposed to be only an anointing decor object, even though my sim can watch a blank screen & play a blank screen.  Has anyone else have this problem?

I am sorry that you are having this issueSEREFRAS  I am not having this issue in my game. Perhaps try selling that tv and buying a new one, and that may help.

  • I'm kind of sad they completely abandoned Gameplay Kits as an idea. Perhaps it wasn't as profitable? It would be interesting to get kits with new instruments like a saxophone kit with saxophone skill and aspiration. Or a kit with a smoothie machine and a couple of new harvestables like oranges and passion fruit. Etc. Small gameplay items that don't really tie into bigger packs.

Serendipity0578... You're right about the cooler! I was thinking of the kid's cooler that came with the Toddler stuff pack. And thanks for the mention of the other items. I'll edit my post. 🙂

  • Is the gaming table fully functional? I have seen a review that made it look as if you could only play cards but can you also play don't wake the llama, sabaac and puzzles if you have the corresponding packs? The game table would be the main reason for me to get this pack, it looks amazing. But I am only interested if my sims can play all games.
