Cats and Dogs Buy Mode Objects

Recycing objects is the trend it seems. This curtains are from the toddlers' patch...

I don't mind if they re-use some existing items like the curtain, as long as they give us finally some neutral, pastel colour swatches. I wouldn't mind, if they would add new colour swatches to the existing beds or rugs either. I don't need new things, but what I DO NEED are normal, neutral, nice and beautiful swatches. I really don't get the colour options on most of the things EA gives us...the patterns are way too big, the colours are too bright and weird, just horrible to look at.

Please, just some normal looking colour options, that would be great!

A lot of those things are pet-based reskins. Curtains are still just curtains. Beds are still just beds. And no matter how much you like them or how cute your pets look lying on or playing on them, there's nothing new about them.

I would have liked a lot more pet-based things, and for them to be a lot more colourful.

My concern here is that once the cats and dogs are released, they're never be updated with new things because only people with Cats and Dogs would buy them.

I agree, I too can't understand why there are so few things for cats and dogs. Ok, when I think of my real life cat, he never uses the beds we got for him. He would prefer the couch or my bed. :)
So it's kinda realistic that there are nearly no beds for them in game. But I would love to have option to choose between 2 comfy looking beds and not those 2 weird looking "rug-beds".

But maybe there is a way that they patch a few more items for pets just for the ones, who own the Dog and Cat EP? OR....they are saving up the good stuff for a stuff pack? :D

I don't understand why it doesn't seem reasonable for them to not have people working on new chair and toilet designs, but instead add more pet beds for the cats & dogs EP. The animation should be the same for every pet bed, so it's "just" about the designs. Who thinks "Our only EP for cats and dogs only needs two pet beds! We can spend the rest of our budget and time on chairs and toilets and posters!"

You're right... And the weirdest part is, that the solution would be so easy. They just would need to ask themselves: "What would I want, if I would like to play with Dogs and Cats"?
Of course, the first thing that would come to mind would be creating your basic cat and dog breeds, things for Cats and Dogs like toys, beds and just lots of different stuff for them in general.
Then of course, as many interactions with them as possible.

And then, IF there is some time/money left, some extra things like THIS CAP or the Vet, or some extra stuff for your Sims.

It's all about priorities. I have the feeling, that the priorities were focused on the CAP first and the Vet Career. I mean, it's nice and I like it. :) But I have the feeling, that these two things are the main point of the pack.
The pets and stuff for them are like ALSO there, but not the main thing in this EP...

I really hope, that the interactions between the pets and the Sims are making up for the lack of stuff for the pets.

I also still have the hope, that the Build Mode was not the final version. Maybe they surprise us and we get way more things than we have seen in the footage of Sims Camp. I mean, it was 2 months ago. Maybe they added some things in the meantime. :)
