Cats and dogs is kind of worse then I expected.

Actually from what I am hearing its a bit worse then i expected. as there seems to be so many issues but alot of players seem to be ignoring them or not expericeing them and focusing more on the fact ...

Apparently the interactions available to Sims with pets depend on the pet's traits and the relationship between the Sim and the pet. So you won't see all available interactions at once and playing with just one pet.
Also, did you know you can check a pet's traits, gender etc. via Sims relationship panel? (You can do that as long as your Sim has interacted with that animal).
