CC Free Cute Sims

I'm a CC free player. I don't find a lot of the make up and skin CC to be attractive. Sometimes I cringe watching a cute Sim being destroyed with CC. I think I've had a lot of beautiful Sims without having to load up my game with custom content. Am I alone?

  • I think your sims are very pretty. I also play without CC and I am very happy with how my sims look. I think it depends on how you define beautiful. For me it means the sims  have harmonious features and their overall look, including hair, make-up, clothes present a believable character. Make-up in the sims doesn't work like in real life where you use it to disguise or accentuate features, in the sims you can actually change them, so in the end all CC does is it provides more varied looks but not necessarily more beautiful.

  • As some people have said earlier, I think the cute and beautiful definition is up to personal tastes. But I agree that you can make cute and beautiful without having to use CC. And using only content officially in the game can guarantee how it blends in the Sims world as well.

For your sims, I can see you bring a variety of beauty and not stick to the same direction, which is great! Your Sims have unique characters and can express how they will be in the story. I like the smirk vsile vibe of the 2nd girl who has sharp and confident eyes.

I also use CC-free content to make over hundreds of townies in my save file. Or I can say that 99% of my female Sims are CC-Free. I have to use CC for men because the choice of outfits is very few, especially "unbuttoned shirt" (before there were many additions since last year).

I never use CC makeup because I don't know how to use it properly. But some makeup in this game is like CC itself because it's too extreme to use. Beware when it's randomly used in your townies because some are very jumpscared.

  • Fully no CC/Mods here too 💚 I don't mind others having a go with it though each to their own and its fun to see what people make :)

+ for me game is just kinda overwhelming even without adding custom content at this point

and to be honest I just really like the challenge of working with limited and less favourite items when it comes to cas and b/b :) gives me new ideas all the time where with CC I might get stuck using my favourite items on every sim and house

If I was to ever use CC myself though then yeah, strictly maxis match. the alpha textures just don't really match with anything in game already and that would drive me crazy 🫠 and I do also feel like some of it just looks so instagram perfect where I want my sims to not all be models

and with mods I would probably be looking for more hobbies and occult things but ah I just cannot keep up with maintaining that mod folder every update( and not with my soon 6 years old precious save) so I'm not even gonna attempt 😅

Im on console so I couldnt use CC even if I wanted to...but I gotta say most of the CAS CC I see is not my taste, Im very, very tired of overly polished, photoshopped-esque, AI Beautyfilter-like looking anything and feel more connected and interested in the "imperfect" (which is not a synonym for ugly btw).  Also most of the hair and face CC Ive seen doesnt look like the game, I am a huge fan of hairstyles in any game but when the CC looks too out of place I dont like it (have the same issue with skyrim, where I like alot of CC hairstyles but wont use them cause they look too "fake" in the game).

Anyway, rant over...no, you are not alone and to each their own.

Your Sims look great! I also love Sims that are ugly — but like, beautifully ugly. You know, when they have strong features that give them personality and make them stand out. I find those Sims so interesting and fun to play!

I'm not a fan of CC content, so you're definitely not alone in that feeling. Your sims look great!

Your sims are beautiful.  I also play without CC or mods. I have played vanilla for many years. I can make do with all of Maxis' content in my game and I love the sims I make so yeah no CC.
