From what I've seen so far, the CC kits are done by those high quality CC creators, so I'm not worried about quality at all. A given kit may not be to my aesthetic, but that doesn't make it a bad kit.
And while you can follow the CC creator yourself, you likely won't get these exact items, but something similar, because contracts will say that these items are exclusive to the deal with EA/Maxis.
And I'm a third person who doesn't want to worry about what broke after a patch, will the CC creator have time and energy to do the required updates... and if they do, how soon, etc. I stopped using CC and mods for a reason.
