Changing a Sim in CAS and Life States question

Is there a way to bring a Sim back into CAS (via the cheat to do so), and make them an other than "normal" Sim? Like turn them into a mersim or a magic user, etc.? I know how to create a sim in CAS ...

Not as far as I know. When I've made Bella Goth and Nancy Landgraab spellcasters, I did so through cheats.
