Lou really just doesn't get why he hangs around them as a human, fly free and such, but he only offers an affectionate growl he likes Wolfgang well enough. Which is a win on it's own.

He could spend hours with them and not think about much else, which only becomes a problem when he remembers the moon is full, Rory reminds him to find a place to hide out while he's working on himself. Maybe it was too easy to leave his family or he knew what was best for them but he'd follow her advice even without being part of the pack. It was a strange feeling but not entirely bad.

Rory was so proud of him surviving his first night though she didn't think he had to rush back to his human form, she was somewhat....cuddly and that was all good with him.
"How'd you find this place?" she asked pulling away to look around.
"Oh I would run away when I was frustrated as a kid, and I never did like just hanging out in the rain all night."
"Family, who needs it." she muttered bitterly, he rubbed the back of his neck and shook his head.
"Why don't you and Lou come hang with me too, you know just in case...." he paused as she gave him a look.
"I mean it's a great trailer...just."
She chuckled.
"That's a great idea, sure it's cool?"
"Well yeah, we're good."
"Thanks man."

They got fairly close after that, to say the least.

When he noticed that Lou arrived he would have warned them they might need a new pack mate but was surprised to see Rory hanging out in her human form, it was then he really noticed fresh off a feral run they had a much larger connection than it appeared. The thought left his mind almost immediately, part of him would miss Morgan but it was better this way.

The next time she was near he found out even more about their bond, to say his inner wolf was too delighted to even be miffed he lost at tug of war was an understatement.

Mmkay after this I found I forgot he was eligible for neighborhood stories again with the move so now I have something else to work into the story and it's just like...he's lucky he didn't die instead meh.
