Cheat to hide the plumbob?

Question

I want to play my game but the spinning plumbob is assaulting my eyes causing extreme pain.

I don't think Maxis is going to fix the plumbob along with fixing the loading screen in the next patch.

Is there a cheat or mod that will hide the plumbob while playing the game?

If you just want to temporarily turn off the plumbob, all you have to do is open the cheat box and key in:

headlineeffects off

If you want to permanently remove the plumbbob follow the instructions in this thread:

If you're looking to change the loading screen plumbob, there's an Old Loading Screen Mod HERE. And this thread has a few more options.

@darrenfroggy Thank you! I see that the mods still have the spinning new plumbob though and that's what's causing my eyes to hurt. The loading screen is bad but not near as bad as the spinning plumbob.

Yeah, I saw that :( Hope at least the revert to the previous version will be helpful (the first link posted). Hopefully a modder will see this thread and create something to fix it.
