Hey! So the lottery winner is announced 10 am but if you save the game and quit say... at 9:55 am, every time you load the game a new winner is announced :D I know... save scumming sucks... but ...

Playing rotationally is a bit cheaty too, in this context: I have 170 sims that are relevant to my story in some way, and maybe fifty townies (subject to regular purges). The chances that one of my households wins would be quite nice, granted, it wouldn't neccesarily be one of my main families, but it wouldn't be a random strange either. Don't have Seasons, though, so no firsthand experiences.
I say go for it, if you really want to go through the hassle of reloading several times instead of typing the money cheat, then you have (kinda sorta low key) earned your result B)
