Cheating/Affair should be realistic

It bugs me more that when my sim cheated on his wife with Bella Goth, Mortimer text him to congratulate him on his new girlfriend.

It also bugs me that kids don’t care if they catch their parents cheating. In the sims 1-3 they did care and it impacted on the relationships.

I totally agree! it all just seems a bit messy and it's like these sims have amnesia. i got a text the other day from the sim who i'm cheating with, congrats your new boyfriend and still gets pissed when he sees us. It messes up the story you're telling if you want your sim to have a affair.

I know but it's not always the case so it's not that realistic. i want them both more secretive rather than just 1 sim

Weird thing is you can date the entire town and none would be the wiser!
...Atleast until someone flirts with your sim in public and they all come down on you, but hey that's what apologize in bed is for.

I agree. In a Sims 3 save I once played, I had a Sim date the whole town, and even though I don't have Late Night, there were still rumors. No wonder he had to be extra careful.

I don't think this was the case in the sims 3 especially when other sims could tell your partner what you're doing with someone else.

That is the way it is in real life I think. I know the 'mistress' would and should feel a bit jealous and left out, and a bit envious the spouse has no intention of a divorce, and using them both. Imagine seeing your lover with a wife or husband. Happy, happy home life, that has to raise some sort of envy. It would not be normal to be perfectly happy about that. And it would be perfectly normal for the lover to feel a bit of guilt to see their married lover with the wife or husband and the children. It's unrealistic to think the one who is helping the married partner to cheat would feel nothing.

Yes I agree that the whole relationship aspect of sims 4 (not just spouse relationships, family relationships too) need to be improved! It’s definitely lacking drama

This has bugged me for so long! Its also like when a sim found out their partner was cheating, they would walk out of leave the family. It was those little details that made TS3 feel a little bit real. It is a shame that they got rid of it...I wonder if there is a mod or something out there.

Yeah, I had a save where I had a sim get into a relationship with Lilith Vatore, then had her cheat on him and have him catch her in the act (after he'd born her several children, mind you...yeah, he was the pregnant one...yeah, I'm messed up...). I had to basically force them to argue because and get into it over the whole thing because their default reactions to these things are "Be angry for a sec, then chat pleasantly." What. The. Frigg. How the...? NO!! Smarter sims my left ovary...
