I'm pretty sure it's just a nightclub venue. It specifically says nightclub when they hover over the lot before visiting:

Then why on earth were they calling it a dance hall?
Dance halls are the old-fashioned name for nightclubs (public venues to go and dance to music). Dances might be held earlier in the day too... Like a teen barn dance. Also, those small town, country folk are slower with changin' up the vernacular. If it's not broke, don't fix it.
