I like that too since we have it less and less IRL
Exactly! I live in a region in the world with all four seasons, and it could be so beautiful. But sadly in this city the different seasons are all mixed up...most of the time spring is just an extension of the long, cold, sad and snowless winter (sometimes if we are very lucky it snows in winter for a day or so). Then all of a sudden BOOM! Summer hits in June without any warning and it's very hot. Yesterday we all wore winterjackets and today t-shirt and shorts... Or an other common scenario: In early spring it is suddenly VERY warm, and then after that it rains the whole summer, as if the sun gave all its powers in early spring. Luckily Autumn is mostly beautiful, but sadly the colored leaves do not last very long. After a storm most of the leaves are gone and another dark, snowless winter begins.
That is the reason why I always need to experience at least in game all four seasons to the fullest. ???☃️
Sometimes I'd sure wish that I could cheat the weather in real life. ? - Simmerville2 years agoLegendIt's time to bump this thread - today is the gameplay trailer, and I hope we will get to see the world map! Knowing the lots and the hoods is so essential to start the serious planning. Preparing backstories before the release has become one of my favorite TS4 activities :)

Isn't LA at least near a desert, though? Serious question from someone who has never been outside of Europe. But in most shows and movies that take place in the LA area, a desert is usually not far away. And while I wouldn't call Del Sol Valley a desert world in the true sense of the word, my head does put it in the same general region as the true desert worlds, and the same will probably be true for Chestnut Ridge.
Speaking of which, I used to say that the new world will probably only have 12 lots again. But now that four game changers have built three lots each, which amounts to 12 in total, I'm hopeful there might be 14-15, if only because every world usually comes with at least one completely empty lot.
I believe LA has weather like southern Italy and Greece, it's mostly dry and sunny but it's not a desert. Also, every year they seem to have forest fires which implies that there are forests in the region.
LA resident here. This city is enormous and the climate varies from area to area. The more westward you go, the more coastal the climate, the more east, the more desert-like. The more north, the more forested/elevated. The more south, desert again.
In LA you are anywhere from 25 minutes to about 3 hours from all of the following:
Deep desert--like straight up Mojave
Mediterranean wine growing climate
Snow
Mountains
Forests
EXACTLY!!
I live about 100 miles south of LA in the beginning of an agricultural area ( San Joaquin Valley ), 30 minutes to mountains ( that get snow ) on the East, 60 minutes to the Mojave Desert to the East. 30 minutes to mountains ( that get snow ) to the south of me. We have the Kern River river here. Coastal beaches 100 miles to the west, and a little closer winery’s in the mountains on the way to the beach. North is flat valley land, but head 50 to a 100 miles north and then turn towards the East for 30 minutes and you are in the nice cool Sequoia’s, not much further North and you are in Yosemite. Head more East from the Sequoia national park, and you End up at Mt. Whitney which is the highest peak in the contiguous United States. Head a bit more East and you are in Death Valley which was known for mining and which is a desert that has the lowest spot in North America. You want variety? Head to the Valley of California. You have all 4 seasons all around you…. Just not in exactly the same spot….. lol. - Babykittyjade2 years agoSeasoned AceSo excittteed

I think I'm going to really enjoy playing in this particular world based on what we've seen thus far. Can't wait to see more. - the town seems rather small
I wish they would confirm if the big building is shell or a lot
cause I only saw 2 lots in this neighborhood if it isn't a lot
I wish they would give us the world map with lot sizes really - bizuktag2 years agoSeasoned Ace

I think someone on twitter said it was a rabbithole, but they're not a guru so it's not an official source.
Looking at both of the trailers, I can see what appear to be at least three lots in that neighborhood (not including the big training building). - amapola762 years agoSeasoned Ace

My understanding is that the inside of the building is a rabbithole, but the area around the outside of the training center contains active, usable (though probably not editable) space, as that is where we have seen sims training their horses in both trailers and the screenshots. - Reaganbogan2 years agoNew AceDo we know if there's a swimable area?

They didn't show any swimming. But there appears to be a river, guess we will find out during the livestream.
