Yes I'm way behind with the packs..Lol. I was thinking of getting City Living but I'm still not sure. So thought I would come on here and ask what you think of the pack, thanks

  • Children do not have a lot of skills that they can build, They can build mischief at the Hijinks festival. I think some of us might not even know that we are using some things that are in the pack because we have gotten so used to always having them. And as RedDestiny92 said, packs work together.
  • It’s my favorite expansion pack! I love the gameplay, the cas items, and the build/buy items!

There are some things I find a disappointing about City Living, but other features make up for it for sure.

I do think the world is something different - and especially for those who like a more urban style, it's definitely offering something that most other packs don't have. If you prefer more of that suburban family look, then it's not really for you.

I don't even use all the neighborhoods and some apartments are definitely annoying. Because they decided that you can see into the hallway (those walls are down in dynamic mode) and I really hate that choice. Those walls should be up and they should only go down once your sim is in the hallway. Adding to that, the walls in apartments are currently BROKEN. For me, it made apartments unplayable. I'm sensitive to those things and it annoys me. I think it's been over a year and they still have not been fixed.

Other than that, some apartments do have an amazing view over the city skyline. And there's a few that you can totally rebuild, because you don't rent but own the apartment, so that's really cool. Generally, I love the option to rent an apartment, it just helps for some story lines, like a young adult who just moved out of their poor parents house and doesn't have much money..

The Spice Market also has been one of my favorite neighborhoods to play in. The fact that there's so much you can do while being on your home lot is just amazing. It allows for an immersive gameplay because there's so much to do without changing lots and having loading screens. And again, that view. I just love that city vibe and not other pack comes close to that vibe.

I do enjoy the careers too, even though I wish some work performance tasks could be done in other worlds too, like some tasks you have to do specifically in one of those neighborhoods, and when play in a different world, I'd rather do my tasks there.

The festivals are okay, I don't like how some of them are set up - the romance and gaming festival are just not made for my eyes to be honest, but I am very sensitive with a high need of a clean game view, so that's a personal thing.

CAS and BB items are okay imo. There's definitely other packs I use more, but that's of course a personal preference.
  • I recommend City Living! I used his world a lot, can't really recall what features it brought along, except the Karaoke bars and festivals - all great. The world is big, and hoods feel a bit diverse. Hoods are busy enough to give a satisfying city vibe. The flats are fine, but I do miss more community lots, especially if you own packs like Dining Out and Get To Work, you will find that the city misses restaurants and shops. You can have community lots in flats, but it looks better on the street... With a few adjustments in the community lot department, depending on your packs and your needs, the world is good. I wish we could get another city soon!

Adding: BB&CAS adds tons of international content, reflecting multiple cultures around the world. Might be useful also in other worlds, ie in Mt. Komorebi which came later.
  • I do like City Living, it gives apartments for your Sims.
It also gives you GeekCon, and flea market stuff as well.
Some of the apartments are haunted as well. Which is a bonus for me.
I mostly got it, because Sims 2 had apartments, and wanted that for my Sims 4 game.
  • Thanks everyone. Sorry for not answering before but I've been having trouble signing into the forum. Just to let you all know I did buy City Living. It was 50% off so that came at the right time. I have been enjoying it as well. When I play my single sims they have other places to go now
