Whenever I have clicked yes to go, my sim goes there immediately and there is no 'later'. Have you tried clicking yes to see what happens? I know dates are different since the patch and my City Living install. First date, I got the counter in the upper left corner with the things to do. Second date, there was no date counter and when we went to the restaurant, we waited 5 hours after ordering and finally gave up our table and left.
