It's a bit weird actually.
I had the pancakes put out the table outside of their house and bought some bubbles and put those on the table to sell. Then I had her tend the table.
After that I switch households to the neighbor next door. The table is there, the bubbles are there and now my active Sim can hold a yard sale and tend the table with the Pancakes's stuff ... There was no buy option.
The street store was almost perfect. I have a very interactive retail world. Buying and selling garden items is the only thing which is hard to do. My Gardeners grow perfect fruit/veggies. It would be nice if sims who own bakeries, gourmet shops, or food stores could buy their perfect items to use when making items they sell. But it just doesn't work that way. You can set garden items for sell but there are many problems. 1) They really don't fit well on shelves or tables. A chef has to buy so many items to create a nice selection of food to buy that it becomes a nightmare to take down every sign... put new items out... then mark each one for sell. 2) If you decide to just take the simoleon hit and restock items it takes even longer. 3) I thought the street store was a great solution because you can fill it like a fridge and then just click to stock the table. But who seriously decided that you could only sell from the table? Why in the world did they make the table so that you cannot buy from it when playing another household? Gardening and cooking are such interlaced parts of the game. Most sims who do one skill very well and do not have time to to both garden and cook plus spend time actually being a social sim.
Am I missing something? If anyone has figured out how to easily sell garden items please share!!!!!!
Thanks so much for reading my rant. I need to go back to my store, place 45 garden items on three tables, then click on each and every one to set it to sell while trying not to be bitter about how long it takes and what else I could be doing.
