For anyone who's gotten caught up with the latest pack reveal news, you can now achieve fame through other careers as well. Now this brings attention to the Social Media career from City Living and the new "Influencer" career coming in Get Famous. Judging by getting to know what both do, what purpose does one or the other serve that the other one cannot? Now that you can be famous even in other careers, does that mean Penny Pizzazz actually can be famous for real instead of the semblance of it? What does she do that wouldn't already be the same in this other new career, if both can be famous just the same? What will this new career bring in that is radically different from CL's Social Media career?

One seems to be more fashion and beauty community oriented where you can be more of a beauty and lifestyle guru. So far from what I've gathered from the current social media career it ends up largely influenced by gaming and comedy ability

The "internet personality" branch of the social media career strikes me more as like Jake Paul's career. I'd imagine the influencer career is going to be more like Kim Kardashian's, minus the lewd tapings.To be honest, neither sounds very appealing to me but I'll be quiet until more information is available o:)

Then how come the Origin store description for the pack mentions two different careers?

It doesn't. It says that both acting and influencing can lead to fame, in the section on fame. It says that acting is a career, in the section on acting.

I would like a Guru to clarify how many careers there actually are then.

I'm waiting on the complaints about too many obsessed fans and papparazzi. When it is clear in the description this will happen but people will buy it though they may not remember the description. lol

I asked too but I'm not sure how likely it is that we'll get any answers for now. The embargo lifts in two weeks, and the first live stream is in two and a half weeks - I'm sure they want to keep as many infos as possible for now, so they can slowly release infos bit by bit.
Though it would be nice to have at least that clarified. They were also quick with the information about cars.

How bad can it be just to answer the number of careers we're getting in the pack? That's plenty enough for me to go on, and proves that Acting will not be the only one.

Whenever the Sims 4 team is silent about something, it usually means "no." Like remember the shallow snow debacle with Seasons? They took a while to respond, and then finally revealed that there would be no snow depth. I'm guessing it will be similar here, they'll come out in about a week and say "no, sorry, acting is the only career, but you can be famous for other, base game careers!" The Influencer career is coming for free so I'm not counting that, even though the Sims team may want to act like its a big feature for this pack.

There's a similarity & dissimilarity between these two careers. Both have powers to influence people to either purchase, changing their views, style, etc... but the Social Media career's platform is mainly the internet... but, the Influencer can be anywhere/everywhere. They can be on the social media too... but somehow, it can be treated as a passive persuasive career? Because they got paid to influence people?
