Class Credit Thing?

So my Sim is in University and for now I'm just having her take 2 classes and be part of an after school program thingy (not the elective but like the club things). I do like having the Sim do 2 classes because I feel it's easier to keep a handle on things. But if I keep this up does this mean that my Sim will be in university for like 5 weeks? It's not too terrible but with 2 classes it's a little boring but I'm afraid to add one more and for her grades to slip. Any advice?

  • Your sim needs 12 credits to get a degree (8 for subsequent degrees) so yes, if they take 2 classes at a time it will take six weeks for them to graduate.
  • So should I try adding one more? I tried having 4 classes and that was way too hard.

  • You could always increase them as you get more used to it. So maybe do a 2, 2, 2, 3, 3.

I find 4 to be manageable now that I've played through it a few times. Just see how you go and how you feel.

I've just bought DU and i have one of my sims taking a degree now. I've decided to try 4 credits because before i started i was already thinking that it would be too long to have a sim studying for more than 3 weeks. It is super hard! My sim have done nothing more than her university tasks. But she did ended the first term with A+ on all.

She's studying from home and she's lucky that her brother works from home and does all the cleaning and cooking to help his sister with her dream.

But anyway i can't think on having her do that for more than 3 weeks. So in the second term i made her have 4 credits again.

But i've heard of a mod that limits the needed credits to 8 per course. I will have to use it :) Does anyone knows about this mod?
  • The first time I played University I had a sim do 4 credits a week. IT WAS HARD! He even failed one and had to redo. I tried recently again and not learning my lesson I tried 4 credits again and I burnt out and started playing another family. lol. Next time I think I want to play a party sim who doesn't care about studying and class and just wants to have fun (cheat and plagiarize their way through college too)

I regularly do 4 classes a week. I just have that sim work a PT job and ignore EVERYONE. Their home is also trash until they get that degree to make some money. I have no idea why I like 4 classes a week but I don't struggle with that either.
