@YankeesForever Not sure which world youre talking about, but all Sims 3 worlds had Sims from Sims 1/2 returning. Sunset Valley had the Langeraks, the Landgraabs, the Goths, the Bachelors... Twinbrook had the Curious family from Strangetown, Barnacle Bay had the Caliente Sisters. Riverview had the Newbies and Don Lothario, Roaring Heights/Monte Vista had families from Veronaville... Starlight Shores had the Worthington family from La Fiesta Tech... You just have to look around, but you're always going to find someone from Sims 2/1 in Sims 3.
Some worlds were set before Sims 1 like Sunset Valley and Hidden Springs, some between Sims 1/2 like Lucky Palms and Sunlit Tides, some after Sims 2 like Barnacle Bay... I used to love to investigate those worlds to see where they would fit in the timeline, which sims we could find in each world...
@leo3487 In Sims 1 and 2 they used to translate the sims and worlds names in Brazilian Portuguese, some were really funny... The Landgraabs are called Quero-Tudo-O-Que-É-Seu, which mean I-Want-Everything-Thats-Yours. Really fitting. But in Sims 3 they stopped translating all the names (just the ones we already knew had their names translated, like the Goths. So, for me Holly was always Holly.
@thatsnotsweg Holly from Beacon Bay wasn't the same Holly from Sunset Valley. They were complete opposites even in their traits. Also, Beacon Bay is set after Pleasantview, you can see Alexander Goth there, young adult and married to a girl named Cecilia. I believe she has black skin because of the evolution of her family in the timeline. We had Nick, Vita, Holly and Bert (Hidden Springs, he's Nick's brother)... Later we can see Griffin Alto living in Sunlit Tides, dating Tenika Wahine (which was darker than him, but not black yet)... After Sunlit Tides we found them in Isla Paradiso were Alfonso Alto was married to Lopita and had a girl named Ashley, all 3 of them had more tan skin than the prior sims. In the far future we have the family back in Lunar Lakes, Eleanor Alto is clearly their descendant (she has a more latin surname than Trenton has) she's black, married to Trenton (which is the most white sim in the Alto family) and had a black son named Jareth. Not sure if those things were intentional, but the black Holly Alto would fit this "skin color evolution". But, hm, maybe if she has evil traits she could be Beacon Bay's Holly. Lets see...
