Closest career to the military?

So I created this family, Magnus Maximus and Mimi Maximus who are siblings. Magnus was to be in the army and Mimi a DJ when she grows up from being a teen.

Only problem is I spaced and forgot there is no military option for careers :flushed: haha, so what career do you think I should put Magnus Maximus into :grey_question:

  • Astronaut. I think astronaut branches uniforms are looks like military uniforms, and the branches description are closest military.
I think Secret Agent is closest police(no branch), spy(Diamond Agent), assassin(Villain, especially uniform and ).
  • Astronaut as technically that is always been Military. Spy might work as well - but have never played a spy. LOL.
  • I miss the military career. I just started the secret agent career. Maybe that one?
  • Astronaut career is actually the closest to Military, secret agent would be number 2 as they do come from military back grounds I suppose you could also do detective since they also have military history A.K.A MPs.
  • Astronaut career has always been a bit difficult one for me. What kind of sim would be an astronaut... a true space fanatic? Who else? Thanks to this thread I will think of astronaut as military career from now on.

Detective is not military - at least not in the USA - they are Police Academy. You have to work up the ranks in the police department to become a detective.
  • I never really thought of astronaut as a military career, even though the term "space cop" has crossed my mind a few times. I usually give that career to earth-born aliens with the desire to find out where they originally came from, or to sims with an interest in astronomy.

Personally, I'd say Secret Agent is your best bet, it's the first thing I thought of when I read the thread title. Another option that hasn't been mentioned yet would be Criminal, where - no matter which branch you pick - you can think of your sim as the head of their very own criminal military organisation.

Actually...there is. CID. May or may not have MP backgrounds, and most certainly are US military.

In all previous Sims games, becoming an Astronaut was part of the Military career so I think Astronaut fits most.
  • Unless things have changed, American astronauts are selected from qualified pilots of the various U.S. military branches, generally fighter pilots as what they do is more demanding than flying a transport/cargo plane.
