Cloud saving? (Syncing saves and game files across devices)

I prefer to keep my Sims, and whatever else I do on computers, on a distinct device. In general, I don't trust the Cloud as whatever is there is available 24/7/365 to whatever nefarious individuals are out there. In terms of sims, each installation is at a different level of version/packness so want them separate. This is particularly true for my many TS4 households whose livelihood depends on their little farms.
