Community Lot Gallery Recommendations?
I'm in the process of trying to turn some lots in other worlds into community spaces, but I'm not much of a builder. I'm good at, and enjoy, tweaking existing buildings to make them better suit my style and my needs, but don't have any skill at all at starting a build from scratch. So I'm hoping to find some lots that fit the architectural style of the neighborhoods in question, but I haven't had any luck finding what I want on the gallery. I keep finding really cool lots that I love, but unfortunately they don't fit in well with the art direction of the existing neighborhoods. Has anyone else found anything they love that would be suited for the following?
(1) San Myshuno: I've bulldozed Planet Honey Pop and want to put a marketplace there. I'd like it to fit harmoniously with the apartment buildings as well as the two festivals that pop up next to it.
(2) Windenburg: in Lykke Center, I bulldozed the Harbor Quarter Gym, and I want to put a community space there. Not sure what I want to do with it, although I'm toying with the idea of leaving it as a general community space, and then fitting it out as a performing arts center. However, now I need to put in a residential lot. I was going to leave Bathe de Rille alone, even though I rarely if ever use it, because it's my only pool lot in the game. But now I'm thinking that since I also rarely if ever use the gym in San Myshuno, I might turn that into just pools instead. So then I would need a residential lot for the Bath De Rille location; I'm thinking something with a more modern but still European feel, perhaps something similar to the houses on the Crumbling Isle? Bonus points if it's something that could be used as a faux apartment.
(3) Oasis Springs: I'm still not sure what type of use I want for this eventually, but I want to turn the Futures Past museum lot into a community space, preferably with a more Spanish Colonial/Mission Revival-style look.
(4) Brindleton Bay: Deadgrass Isle. I definitely want to use this as some sort of community space, and probably want to turn it into a community garden, but I'm undecided, and could incorporate elements of all three types.
In case anyone is interested, I did find a community garden a while back that looks really beautiful on one of the previously empty lots in Shady Acres (the top of the bluff) in Strangerville. I haven't posted my changes to the gallery, but the original is really very good.
