@GalacticGal: Your pictures (except for No. 2) can't be used for comparision because the child birth mod does not use the EA babies. It currently uses the old EA infant mesh with a custom skintone. The first picture looks like it might have used the EA skintone back then.
Yeah, I thought about that after the fact. I will go through my imjur account and look for images of the twins, who were born at home without the Childbirth Mod. My bad. But honestly, in my game with or without the mod I haven't noticed much of a change. I do enjoy the way they cry, as it isn't as grating as it used to be. Anybody who's had a baby knows that a newborn's squalls aren't that hefty in the beginning. Also, the fact that their eyes aren't huge round beakons isn't unusual. At least in the case of my three children.
