What are you talking about "got the metal ready early"? Metal was introduced in macOS in 2015 and all Mac models produced since 2012 support it. Those are 7 year old machines with ageing hardware, not exactly new.

Technology moves forwards, not backwards. You state that 32-bit should have been dropped years ago and nothing is good about it and you are absolutely right. The move to Metal is exactly the same concept. OpenGL is 27 years old, let's move on.

You say you got this info from Apple's website, where do Apple state that they want to outdo Intel on their main site or dev. site? Do you have a link?

I typed in why is apple getting rid of open gl and it went to Mac. It said it there they have metal ready in September instead of later this year. it also states about their system outdoing intell. I am not a Mac player so I can only go by what i read on their site. Type in questions and get your own links it is how i do it.


I am pc all the way - personally i don't care what Apple does - or what machine is better than the next - I get the machines i know and play on. I simply wanted to know where EA is getting blamed for something if it was true or not and it isn't. Apple can do what they want to do and it really is none of any of our business anyway - but i do like knowing the truth and what the users of that equipment are actually saying.
