Confused about the bugs with cats & dogs and gardening?

Is the bug where cats and dogs disappear caused by Eco Lifestyle or the new patch? Does it happen in vanilla game or is it a mod issue? Are all the bugs with gardening (like plants reverting to dirt ...

Not sure about the cats and dogs, I have the pack and I’m not seeing that problem. I do have the garden issues, and people at answers HQ are reporting it as a patch issue.
