Constant Sad Mood

Yea the shared sadness is overdone. I have sims that might come home tense or uncomfortable and it’ll trigger the shared sadness mood in another sim, then it just spreads when no one was sad in the first place.

There is a homesickness moodlet that sims sometimes get when going to Granite Falls or Batuu, so that might be the source of some of it, at least on vacations.

I would understand a homesickness moodlet if the vacation was extended for a long period of time. It should not happen, and nor should they be homesick, if they are gone for a few days. They should be excited to go on a vacation,and they should be enjoying it.

I hate it when Sims are sad all the time for no good reason. I strive to keep my Sims happy, especially when they’re doing something they would enjoy.

Now for my constructive criticism: I wish moodlets like this mentioned WHO in the family is the root cause of it. Instead, I have to go on a hunting expedition to find out how every single family member is feeling. Was it grandma who got sad reminiscing in her rocking chair? Is it the teen about to pee his pants? As a player of big families.... I kinda need more to go on.

Yes, my Sims are too sad now. It's a new system so I imagine that it's going to take a few tweaks to get right.

I'm actually not a fan of the emotion contagion. It's just going to cause more of all Sims acting the same. I really prefer individuality. Maybe if the sad Sim actually talks to another Sim about their problems, then I can see it making them sad too, depending on their traits. If they're mean though, they should laugh at the sad Sim, lol.

I haven't had my first snowy vacation, yet, but I will give it a go and if I'm having the same or a similar response, I'll post it back here. :) Could be they're just flat out cold. I get on the morose side when I'm cold. I'm cold right now. Whooping 28 degrees F, here.

This is happening to me too, no reason for it, just sad all the time.

I have to agree with this statement, the sadness in the family is too strong. The only way my couple get happy again is woo hoo.

The grandfather in my legacy family died and the sadness was intense! I did install Meaningful Stories which I've never used before but they were sad for 8 plus days. I've never had so many Sims sobbing in their beds! The shared sadness started to tack onto that and made it worse for sure.
I don't think they were this sad as long when the grandmother died.

the sad is over shadowed by the happy buff for me all most all ways
