Constant Sad Mood

I just wondered if anyone else was having their sims with a constant sad mood while on holiday at the snowy escape world

There is no explanation why , it just says sad all the time

Some traits should influence whether a sim is sad about being bad at skiing/snowboarding or not. Some people get sad from being demotivated, but for others, it's an extra source of motivation and they get energized!

EDIT: Just saw someone pointing that out too, and they're exactly right.
But now I wonder if Lifestyles could influence this "everyone is sad" issue?
  • I think shared sadness is pretty good, slightly overpowered but I'm afraid that If they toned it down they will do it in a extreme way just like they did vampire break in. Mostly never balanced them.

I think it should be only affecting Sims with certain sentiment or who has romantic relationship with and/or parents to their kids but never kids to their parents
  • My sims don’t have the normal game emotions so I can’t tell if it’s due to the mod I am using that there mood is always sad. I mean my sims parents died so they are already sad over that.
  • Is shared sadness something that only happens if they have a loving sentiment with the first sad sim? I don't have the pack yet and haven't played much since the patch so I'm just wondering what it's attached to.

There is a homesickness moodlet that sims sometimes get when going to Granite Falls or Batuu, so that might be the source of some of it, at least on vacations.

The first sad Sim does not necessarily need to be sad, if they have certain uncomfortable moodlet its enough to get second Sims to feel sad for them. But it does not trigger for every uncomfortable moodlets that exist in the game. My Sims got the shared sadness when his son have 3 uncomfortable moodlets related to the low motives.
  • Is there a way to cheat pets moods?
My 2 sims on vacation got sad but I got them out of it pretty easily and quick just by doing activities, but their dog keeps getting sad over and over again...idk why, it all started with a snowthunderstorm which makes dogs tense, but it has been 2 ingame days and the doggy is still blue.
  • My child sim is now constantly sad or angry when around her family because she got a hurt sentiment from not being blessed at the festival of youth, even though I told both parents to bless her and I thought they did. My other sims are constantly sad because they're bad at winter sports and because their family members are sad. I don't mind the shared sadness thing every once in awhile but I think they need to tone it down because my sim who is supposedly cheerful is sad all the time.
  • I think sentiments are the cause personally because now moods linger more then before.
  • The sentiments seem to be messing with sim's moodlets. My sim was disappointed during snowboarding on an easy slope because he wasn't "good at it". That's a weird type of thinking because he was a level 1 snowboarder and had only gone 2x to the slopes. So I don't think that it is accurate that they're randomly sad. They're also triggered if another sim (Especially one in their household that they have sentiments with) are sad. I had my child sim sad because his dad was sad about the disappointing snowboard experience. It made no sense, it affected certain actions that I wanted them to do, and it made them want to cancel certain actions I wanted them to do in order to "cry it out" because of the sad moodlet.

I am sorry but I don't understand why sims are even sad in the first place because they are not good at sports. I can see an active sim not being happy about it but EVERY sim getting sad because they are not good at winter sports. Clumsy sims should find it funny when they fail. Snobs and proper sims should be embarrassed. Slobs shouldn't care, etc Cheerful sims should have a good time no matter what. This to me is where they fail with uniqueness. Emotions should be driven by traits.

    Exactly!

I could have said it better myself.

It's odd that sims without the gloomy trait are getting sad all the time.
