Contemplating life?

I'm not sure where this goes but I think it's feedback...

Can we please turn down the animation for contemplating/thinking? Every time my sims enter a new room they just stand there, look up like they're thinking, sigh and then move on. This takes up precious sims minutes and slows them down for no good reason! That said though, I've noticed simulation lag less so was this just the answer? Keep the lag and make it look "intended"? They also do this EVERY time they enter or leave the house. Work, school, just out back to BBQ... Half of my sims day seems to be standing there and looking up and thinking, sighing, then off to get some more dang water! (Which was apparently fixed in the December patch but wasn't and seems to have ramped up again after the patch yesterday).

To be fair, they only seem to do this when they're happy, which is basically 90% of the time seeing as this is TS4...

    Oh yeah, it's especially great with vampires coming home from work in the blazing sun.

    I'm not even sure when this started, I think it came with DU, I don't remember them doing this at all before then. I've seen them do it between rooms inside the house too so if the house isn't a completely open floor plan and large, it can take them quite some time to just get to the bathroom. My sim literally peed herself IN the bathroom I think probably because of this. She had to come in from the green house, so stop at green house, stop at house back door, stop at kitchen hall, stop at living room door, stop at bathroom, pees herself *facepalm*

    I like this example too, I never considered it but I could see how this would be a problem for them. Ha!

    Interesting because I did do that! I don't remember them doing this before but I'll try to remove it and see if that fixes it. If that's the case, I'll go get this mod too. Thanks!

    It's not that I don't like the animation, at first I thought it was cute, but now it's happening so much and with a house of 4 sims, enough is enough already.

    It didn't come with DU, and while the thermostat may make it even worse, that's not the sole cause either. My sims have been doing this since the dawn of time, before there was uni, before there were seasons and temperature. They always have some important idle animation to finish before they can finally get on with whatever I told them to do, and it's really annoying.

    I've never noticed it before now! It's entirely possible I've missed it and for whatever reason, my sims are just doing it to the point that I can't not notice it. It's literally every door frame they walk through.

    I don't think I'd want this removed entirely. I like having some idle animations. The ones centering around opening the fridge and eating can get annoying, especially when they are in a hurry. If they aren't in a hurry, they can take as long as they like but if they have 15 minutes to get to work, it's annoying to see them stop to sniff the plate.

    I haven't noticed stopping in every room. It's also the case that sometimes I use those idle moments to direct them around.

    Yeah, I don't want it stopped, like I'd said, turned down would be good though.

    I have a feeling something's probably glitched out with my household if this isn't new and now I'm suddenly noticing it to this degree. I might try a different save and see if it's happening there.
