It didn't show up for a duckduck go browser search either. The only link that came up said "page not found". I can access the categories and get to the forums from the page not found screen. But that, at least, is more than what I can find with google. I pretty much have to know the address to get to the forums now.

I will cry if I cannot read your complaints about crop tops. That's one of the things I really enjoy. :D

Well on bright side if forum did disappear maybe I would have actually gone to the therapist as I was supposed to instead of constantly bumping into @CAPTAIN_NXR7 and spilling the tea he did not ask for :joy:

When the forums were down yesterday I put it on Answers HQ and @EA_Cade said it was a problem with the forum host and that they were looking into it — i.e. it wasn’t maintenance or routine.

Until I saw that response, I felt bereft. I’m not on Twitter/X, so I had no idea if it was a problem at my end or whether it was something everyone else knew about. I didn’t know where I could find out. And given all the talk there’s been here about closing the forum down, I realised how much I’d miss it, and how much I’d miss everyone I ‘meet’ here, and all the inspiration I get whenever I come here. It all sounds a bit overdramatic now, but I really felt that.

My head tells me there’s no way they’d shut the forum down without warning us all, given how much people put into sharing their amazing stories, builds, screenshots, ideas, etc. And I don’t think there’s any real reason to think they’d close it. I’ve had trouble finding this forum on Google for a long time — I used to only be able to find it by typing in a specific issue I had, rather than searching for the name of the forum itself. I have it bookmarked now.

The Search Engine Optimization for this site isn't great and we've been looking into this for a while.

We know we have a ton of users here who don't have Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. and rely on this site for updates. I'll be very upfront and say that despite the recent technical issues I've heard nothing about this forum closing, and I can't see us ever closing this forum without cause, and already having a successor up and running.

My purpose here is to provide information where I'm able, report the goings on here up the chain in terms of likes and dislikes, but mostly to post GIFs and make dad jokes. So it's in my best interest to keep the site around to host my GIFs and jokes for posterity.

Why would it be controversial? Answers HQ has a dedicated Sims section which is very active. There are boards on this forum that have been locked and read-only for years.

Thank you @EA_Cade for this reassurance. It’s good to hear that the forum isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! Hopefully that will put an end to all the speculation for now.

For every hour I spend online on other sites each week, I probably spend 10 or more here. I have the forums as my home page on my phone and computer, and even if I go online to check something else, before I close the browser I will check my notifications to see what's happened since the last time I was online. I have interacted on various forums but I've never found an online home like this one. This is the least toxic forum I've ever interacted with.
