That’s what I’ve seen with my other played sim. I couldn’t control as he was not under my control. There was Nothing on the 6 empty counters. There was No wall decoration in the kitchen. Even I don’t usually place any decorative counters or wall cabinet either. I built the house with very simple route like a matchstick case but my other played sim didn’t do anything.

My active sim’s cooking and gourmet cooking skills are both 10 and the other one has the same skill points but didn’t work. No wall decos, Nothing on the 6 empty counters. The participants for cooking were only him and my active sim but didn’t work while my played sim was inactive. The day before yesterday, my played sim visited with a very sad face. I couldn’t leave him as inactive any more. Finally, I added him into my active household. After that, I asked my R sim cooking with him, and then he started cooking together. The house is the exactly same house and the same kitchen but he started participating in cooking after joining in my active household.
Is there any advantage if the children can participate in cooking together, such as they can head start in cooking skill when they grow up to teens?
