Cottage Living: Aging livestock

For the first time since last year's aging bug, I turned aging back on for a family with children that I wanted to grow up. After a while, the game informed me that some chickens were also getting older, despite animal aging being turned off in the settings. This has never happened to me before.

I had previously turned on aging for livestock to age up two chicks, but disabled it again immediately afterwards. Still, four of my five chickens have since become elders, one hen died, and the cow has aged, too. Stranglely, one rooster who had been there from the beginning is still a young adult. The coop has the ComfortCare Life Extender upgrade, but no chickens have ever been fed the healthy treat.

So, the age-old question: Bug or feature?

  • Thanks! Not exactly the same problem I have, since my chickens are properly referred to as elders before they die, but I metoo'd it anyway. (Not that it will help, given that the thread has been open since July 2021...)
