As it does currently, certain plants, crops go Dormant and Thrive in different seasons, some grow year round. Cottage Living's crops should be no different. You'll have A certain amount of time (However long your seasons last) to grow and harvest.
example:
Strawberries are "In Season" in Spring, so My sims harvest Strawberry Vineyard throughout the Spring. Otherwise my sims must manage their limited stock of Strawberries until next Spring.
Grapes and Apples are "In Season" in Autumn/Fall. So My sims must harvest the Grape Vineyard and Apple Orchard before Fall ends, and once again my sims will have to manage their limited stock of Apples and Grapes until next fall.
Of course the game still allows you too cook/bake, without ingredients so it doesn't really matter.
but I choose to play this way, If my sims don't have apples, They cannot make apple pie, that simple.
