I want to prep and have started, but what keeps me from doing it all the way, is that there may be new traits/aspirations that I want my Sims to have. I've decided to just go ahead and make the lot and family and just use the add reward points cheat to change traits if I need to. Then, I can copy the lot and add it to the town when it comes out and just have the family move as if they were upgrading to a new place.
