I very seldom plan anything out for upcoming packs; usually I either wait until a household comes up in my rotation that suits the material, or start a new save to explore the new features. Most of those new saves end up being pretty short-lived.
I'm seriously considering setting up a full new save for this though, perhaps with taking some of my existing rotation families and transplanting them. I have a DHD save going that I could probably use because I haven't gotten very far in it and have only added a few extra lots here and there. My thought was I could go through carefully and set up the existing worlds as I prefer plus create some sims for CL, and then drop them in when the time comes. That way if I get tired of rural life I can go back to interior decorating for a bit, hehe. As far as fitting CL into my existing playthroughs, there's several of my rotation households that I have ideas for but which I just won't get to for a while, and I also have a Decades challenge going that is currently in the early 1900s and still farming; I stopped playing that one when I saw CL was coming out because there's just so much that would suit them! But I don't necessarily want to move them to the new world. Decisions, decisions. :)
I think mostly I just want a llama, hehe.
