Both kitchen sets look great, and I would certainly use both if I had the two packs. I think the set in Cottage Living is better, especially the appliances and the overlay(?) design of the cabinets. I am definitely getting Cottage Living so I think I'd be content with just one set for now. I would still get the kitchen kit down the road, but probably not at full price.
