I think Country Kitchen’s counters are more versatile, they can be used for rustic or modern farmhouse. For modern I use open shelving and avoid the counters with skirts. The counter can be also used for a bathroom.
The Cottage Living one is lacking some finer details - hinges and knobs are all the same color and this gives the counters a rather flat effect. All the detailing looks painted on while the Country Kitchen set has more dimension, the handle and hinges pop out in a good way. CoL is also rather chunky looking, Country is more refined. See myself using Country Kitchen way more.
I do love that with CoL we get a Smeg-like fridge. If building/decorating is your thing it is good to have both. For the 5.00 price I do feel that new bar stools and pendant lighting should have been included in the Country Kitchen set.
