countryside living expansion is probably coming soon.

i made this comment back on August 21, 2019 and turns out i was right about them stairs. with that being said, i think EP08 will be about country side living / farming expansion.

edit 1: sorry for some sort of a clickbait title but i'd want a lot of people talking about this cos we have some solid hints right here everyone. uwu

edit 2: deleted the irrelevant stuff and changed the title

for now, i'm kinda basing this on facts and solid factors i guess.

as we all know, simgurugrant tweeted a few voting polls regarding possible new features and lifestates back in 2018. we had something about voting on occult life states, new stair types, and surprisingly farming as a new expansion.

the witches and mermaid lifestate were topping the voting polls.

now that we got watered-down water thriving mermaids and a wide array of witches and wizard of all sort in real of magic. that is two down and two way to go. and a sims fansite has confirmed an 8th expansion is coming this 2019. so my bet is on farming and not univeristy cos why?

the said features are finally being delivered. a university themed expansion suits best on graduation season, perhaps on June 2020, a school themed pack releasing on christmas kinda sounds silly .who would have thought that Get Famous was released on christmas and not Island lving.

im cool with having a university expansion although im just more excited for a country side farming gameplay i guess, however, i truly don't see university coming anytime sooner or later.

i know university in on high demand till this day but the polls speak to themselves. this university hype train has happened after the polls so initial decisions might have not changed.

anyways, that's the tea.

  • for me, a country living and equestrian would totally fit into a single expansion pack, horses alone have a huge load of animations and attention to detail and that's the reason why didnt get them from the pets expansion, and i seriously find it weird if EA would be making a gamepack dedicated to horses only like i just cant.
  • They could be making two connected GPs, Country Living and Equestrians, that would give horses the room to be fully developed and have several activities linked with them, showjumping perhaps, or dressage, as well as standard riding. They could have stables and taking care of them, and a host of new CAS and BB objects.

However, the likelihood of two such packs, farming and a separate horses, seems remote to me, unless there was quite a gap between them. I see them offering a variety of packs through each year to make an attempt to spread the attraction for different players.

It would be great if we get horses and farming, I still see it as one EP. I just hope it isn't lacklustre.
  • I've said it elsewhere but yes, I'm interested in this. It definitely needs a new world. If they base it off of a more rural Brindleton Bay or the Windenburg countryside and make sure they have enough lots, I'll be happy. By that I mean, make it more like Brindleton Bay and less like Del Sol Valley in terms of the number of lots. Obviously, it would need large, scenic lots with whatever rural theme they go for.

I agree that they could allow sims to buy plots, fields and pastures in addition to the local houses. As mentioned, they could also bring back nectar-making.

There can be a stable that sims from other worlds can visit to practice riding as well. I want horses but I'd also be interested in other farm animals like chickens and milking cows. I'd also be interested in having actually farming and there could be farmer's markets for city sims to visit. I know they can already buy stuff at stalls, but it could be a more rural type of venue with different items and activities.

There would be new crops that aren't in the game. Essentially people could homestead and/or sell their items. The design of the world would be important for this.
  • I just know my hopes for a farming EP are far too high, all the things mentioned are exactly what are I would love. So many people on different threads have had wonderful ideas for it. Yet recent experience leaves me thinking it will come, but lack a great deal. Which is such a shame. In the same way some people are absolutely desperate to get their hands on University, I am desperate for a rural pack.
